Our Youth Ministry is called Project 2.9
It comes from 1 Peter 2:9 which tells us that we are a generation called out of darkness into His marvelous light. We want our students in grades 7-12 to know this awesome truth!
Project 2.9 is for students in grades 7 – 12
Here is what you can expect at Project 2.9:
Project 2.9 Wednesday Nights @ 6:30PM: P2.9 Wednesdays are our main event. We play some active and crazy games, sing, hear from God’s Word and have some fun trivia, challenges and all kinds of other craziness.
P2.9 Sunday School: School isn’t really the right word here. In P2.9 Sunday School we spend some time telling hilarious stories from the week, playing some games, studying God’s word and working on the current challenge. Once every student has completed the current challenge we go to breakfast during Sunday School.
P2.9 Five Dollar Fun: Each month we hold a $5 event (two each month during the Summer) outside of our normal schedule. These events include a little bit of everything: bowling, scavenger hunts, putt-putt golfing, hiking, sledding and anything else fun you can imagine! Find out about these events during P2.9 Wednesdays or Sunday School, or check out the current events section of our website!
Each year we also have several game nights, a Winter Camp, a Summer Camp, a Lock-In, and much more craziness!
Project 2.9 is a part of the total ministry of Ward Road Baptist and strives to be involved in church-wide ministry and events. P2.9’ers are strongly encouraged to get involved on a church-wide level. Check out Current Events for info on Project 2.9 events as well as church-wide events.
